Theo Vos grew up in the Netherlands, largely unaware of his Ugandan roots. But a life-changing visit to Karamoja led him to discover his purpose: to launch an eco-cultural travel tour to positively change the image of Karamoja, improve livelihoods and preserve cultural heritage through tourism and arts. Rikke de Jonge Mulock Houwer and Michiel Derikx are from Team VirTUe. Team VirTUe is a student team of TU Eindhoven and is one of the competing teams in the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 where they will compete with 21 teams of other top universities from all over the world to build the most sustainable house.
